Susan McCrary joined Habersham Medical Center as the Controller in 2019. She was promoted to Director of Finance in 2020 where she is now responsible for the day-to-day operations of all finance-related departments including Accounting, Registration, Billing and Medical Records.

With over 30 years of professional experience in business, audit and accounting, Susan brings a wealth of knowledge to Habersham Medical. She is a subject matter expert in healthcare finance and is skillful in providing strategic direction over revenue cycle functions.

Susan is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia and is currently pursuing an MBA from Louisiana State University.

Born and raised in the farming community of Leesburg, Georgia, Susan has always enjoyed the slower pace of country living and having easy access to the big city. She found the best of both worlds in Dawsonville, Georgia where she regularly spends time in the great outdoors with friends and family.

On occasional weekends, Susan can be found exploring metropolitan cities and visiting small towns across the southeast region. With ease, she connects with the locals and accepts their recommendations for off-the-beaten path eateries.

Surprisingly, one of Susan’s favorite past times is attending high-energy rock concerts.
