Position: Patient Services Representative

Job Description: Responsible for scheduling, pre-registering, and registering patients for services with Habersham Medical Center. Duties may include obtaining benefit information, verifying eligibility and precuring pre-authorization as appropriate.

Experience: Two years of relevant experience or two years post high school education in Health Care, Medical Assistant, or related field is preferred. Must be motivated and have a desire for continuous development of self. Prior experience with pre-authorizations for patient visits and knowledge of third-party payors and insurance is preferred. Strong Meditech skills preferred. Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Two hours of stroke education annually.
