Job Description: Responsible for coordinating & directing the activities of employees engaged in the scheduling, authorizations, pre-registration and/or registration of all inpatients and outpatients, including ER. Maintains open lines of communication with Case Management Team, Outpatient Surgery, ER and OB Departments. Establishes and maintains rapport with all department heads. Trains and educates all registration staff on all registration processes in the electronic health record. Responsible for maintaining and managing a centralized scheduling process. Prepares key metric reports for the department, as requested. Participates as member of Revenue Cycle team, and others as required. Seeks ongoing educational opportunities.

Licensure or Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or enrolled in degree program.

Experience: At least five years of experience in hospital Patient Access, two as a supervisor or manager.
