Position: Medical Staff Coordinator

Job Description: Communicates and interfaces with members of the Hospital Authority, hospital staff, medical staff and outside agencies in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- CREDENTIALING: Manages all appointments and reappointments to HMC Medical Staff to assure privileges for all providers continue uninterrupted. Maintain credentialing files to keep DEA certificates, licenses, and proof of insurance up-to-date for all providers. Create agenda and provide administrative support for the Professional Qualifications Committee, including meeting notices, materials for meeting, and minutes. Attends all meetings. Point of contact to provide affiliation verifications for providers (both present and past).
- MEDICAL STAFF/MEC: Maintains electronic files for members of Medical Staff and MEC, including mailing lists, records of immunizations and CMEs. With instructions from Chief of Staff, helps to create agendas for Medical Staff and MEC meetings, sends meeting notices, document packages/books, and minutes. Attends all meetings. Point of contact for all Medical Staff members. Liaison for Medical Staff and HMC.
Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years experience as an executive/administrative secretary or assistant. Word processing and desk top publishing required. Experience in a health care facility and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
