Position: Athletic Trainer

Status: Full-time

Job Description: The ATC will follow the Georgia Practice Act to evaluate and treat patients. This individual will be contracted through the local high school (Habersham Central High School). This position will also include middle school game coverage and assisting Physical Therapists in the clinic as needed.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide care to student athletes through recognition, evaluation, prevention, and treatment
• Provide coverage during practice, all home games, and away varsity football games
• Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to provide the best care for the student athletes
• Maintain accurate record keeping of injuries and treatments
• Must be an effective communicator
• Must have an understanding of current athletic training techniques
• Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
• Ability to provide knowledge and responsibility as a preceptor to Master of Athletic Training students as well as high school sports medicine students

Licensure or other Certifications: BOC Certified, Licensed in the State of Georgia or eligible , Member of NATA, CPR, First Aid, and BLS Certified

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
