Habersham Medical Center has named Sara Star, RN, the new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Manager.
Employed at Habersham Medical Center since November 2015 as an ICU nurse, Star’s previous work experience includes working in the ICU at Athens Regional Medical Center and at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Braselton.
“Sara has a vast knowledge ranging from trauma care, neurologic disorders, renal disorders and advanced critical care practices,” says Dede Arnau, Chief Nursing Officer at Habersham Medical Center. “She is committed to a nursing culture of excellence, the value of professionalism, quality outcomes, and collaborative practice with patient/family-centered care. She is also passionate about ensuring her team has tools readily available in order to make appropriate critical care decisions.”
She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Brenau University and lives in Cleveland, GA with her husband, Jon and two daughters. She also is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Alpha Pi and the National Society of Leadership and Success as well as the HMC Stroke team.
