Gaylon Palmer, a Registered Nurse and the Director of the Medical/Surgical Inpatient Unit at Habersham Medical Center, recently earned a professional certification by the American Case Management Association.

This certification required two years of direct case management experience. It also required successful completion of a competency exam focused on critical thinking skills, as well as knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement of services, disease management and transition of care.

“This additional case management certification further shows our dedication and commitment to our patients,” says Dede Arnau, Chief Nursing Officer at Habersham Medical Center. “As an organization, we encourage our professional team to continually further their education and knowledge of new programs and best practices.  Gaylon’s new certification and her close collaboration with the case management staff further enhance our mission of providing safe, quality, and coordinated care.”

Palmer has been employed at Habersham Medical Center for more than 30 years and resides in Cleveland.
