Sixty-one golfers and numerous other volunteers and supporters showed their support of Habersham Medical Center during the thirteenth annual HealthLinks Golf Tournament held on September 18, 2013 at The Orchard Golf and Country Club.
The event raised approximately $16,000 and major corporate sponsors included Dr. Bill McLean/Habersham Orthopedic Surgery, Habersham EMC, Habersham Home Medical/SleepWorks and Habersham OB/GYN.  
 
First place honors went to Habersham Orthopedic Surgery’s team with players Dr. Bill McLean, Dan Bartlett, John Barber and Dr. Tommy Hatchett.
 
Winning second place was Andy Holmes and Tony Hollingsworth of Georgia Natural Gas and Alan Middleton of Cannon Financial Strategists.  
 
The team representing Habersham Internal Medicine won third place and team members were Eric Argo, Daryl Hendrix, Cleve Hendrix and Ray Lamb. 
 
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Ann Bradshaw and the longest drive award went to Mike Bennett.  The $1,000 raffle ticket winner was Gayle Goetz.
           
Proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to purchase additional equipment for the surgical services department at Habersham Medical Center.
