Seventy-six golfers and numerous other volunteers and supporters showed their support of Habersham Medical Center during the tenth annual HealthLinks Golf Tournament held on September 14th at Apple Mountain Golf Course.
The event raised $58,462.00 and major corporate sponsors included the Habersham Medical Center Auxiliary, Covenant Emergency Physicians, Jim Garner, Habersham OB/GYN (Dr. Thomas Hatchett and Dr. Katherine Frizzell), Habersham Orthopedic Surgery (Dr. Bill McLean), Dr. Jim Hamilton, InCompass Health/24 ON Physicians, Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc., Dr. and Mrs. Stuart Sanders, QHR (Quorum), SleepWorks/MedBridge Home Medical, Reinhardt, Whitley, Summerlin & Pittman, P.C. and United Hospice.
First place honors went to the Habersham Primary Care team. Players were Dr. John Cope, Bob Head, Berrong Kinsey and CJ Campbell.
Finishing in second place was the Whitfield Funeral Home team with players Will Perreyclear and Phillip Brannon.
The SCS Foundation, Inc. team won third place with players Joe Welborn, Jason Welborn, Shane Williams and Scott Pitts.
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Greg Hinesley of InCompass Health/24 ON Physicians and the longest drive award went to Bob Howard, who played on the Jim Garner team.
The $1,000 raffle ticket winner was Donna Brooks of Alto.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to purchase an additional, state-of-the art C-arm or digital imaging device for HMC’s new Outpatient Surgery Center and expanded Surgical Services Department. |
