Dr. Raab earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and earned a doctorate degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and internship in general surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois. He also served as a Major in the United States Army Medical Corps at DD Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, Georgia, where he served as the Chief of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Services.

Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Raab is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; a member of the American Association for Hand Surgery; Georgia Society for Surgery of the Hand; Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Raab’s Demorest office will be located at 396 Historic Highway 441 and will be open on Thursdays beginning January 20, 2011. Dr. Raab will be performing surgeries at Habersham Medical Center. For an appointment, call 770-271-9857
