A native of Macon, Georgia, and a graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Dr. Frizzell completed her residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

She is board-eligible for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association and the Medical Association of Georgia.
