Dr. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency and a pulmonary medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, The American Thoracic Society, the Medical Association of Georgia and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

He and his wife Emily moved to Habersham County from Boone, North Carolina.
