Total Fitness Exercise Facility |  | Dr. Susan Parr, a board certified audiologist, with the Habersham Medical Center Audiology Department specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with hearing loss. Hearing problems occur in every age range, from neonatal infants to geriatrics, and Dr. Parr can perform a complete assessment which includes:
- Audiometric Testing (pure-tone and speech audiometry, middle ear testing)
- Auditory Processing Testing & Rehabilitation; Speech in Noise Evaluations
- Individualized Hearing Aid Selection, Fitting, Follow-up and Service
- Audiological Rehabilitation (Auditory Training and Speech-reading)
- Tinnitus Evaluation, Counseling and Retraining Therapy
- Otoacoustic Emissions Testing (Transient Evoked and Distortion Product)
- Industrial Hearing Screenings
- Pediatric Testing (e.g. VRA, play pure-tone and speech audiometry)
- Newborn Hearing Screening Program
Audiologists conduct a wide variety of diagnostic measurements to determine the exact nature of an individual’s hearing problem and present a variety of treatment options to patients with hearing impairment. Audiologists dispense and fit hearing aids, administer tests of balance to evaluate dizziness and supply patients with possible treatment, assess tinnitus (ringing in your ears) and recommend therapy and provide hearing rehabilitation and auditory processing training.
